Patrick McSweeney, Constitutional Attorney, will also be available at this meeting. Mr. McSweeney has been instrumental in developing Del. Marshall's legislative plan.

Wampler, Jr, Virginia's 40th Senate District, a copy of our Virginia Firearms Freedom Act and asked that he carry a senate version of the bill to be carried by Delegate Charles W. Carrico in the House. Senator Wampler has failed to respond to my request so he will need some coaxing by his constituents.

If you have members who live in his district which covers Bristol City (All); Grayson County (Part); Lee County (All); Norton City (All); Scott County (All); Smyth County (Part); Washington County (All); Wise County (Part), please urge them to contact Senator Wampler and ask him to carry this important legislation in the Senate to protect our state's rights.

I am very concerned about the direction of this country and the over-reaching power of the federal government.

The majority of the states are seeking to protect their state's rights through 10th amendment legislation to challenge the powers of the federal government not delegated to it by the states.

The language of a bill to be carried by Delegate Charles W. Carrico called the Virginia Firearms Freedom Act (VFFA) was recently sent to you. I ask that you please carry a Senate version of this bill to serve as a challenge to the powers of Congress under the commerce clause that prohibits the federal regulation of firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition manufactured and retained in Virginia. Not only would this legislation limit the powers of the federal government on our second amendment rights, but it would also create much needed jobs in Virginia.
